Aghe sute, aghe bagnade

Aghe sute, aghe bagnade (literally dry water, wet water) is the result of a European project to support and develop creative and group writing in minority languages, carried out in primary school. It involved pupils from minority language communities in Bordano (Italy), Dublin (Ireland), Isle of Lewis (Scotland) and Carmarthenshire (Wales) that worked together, using modern means of communication such as internet and e-mail, in order to create a story and developing reading and writing skills both in Friulian and English (this was the common language of communication).

There is a teacherís guide, in Friulian and Italian, supporting the teaching of literacy skills in the  minority languages of bilingual children.

The responsible for the research in Europe was Morag MacNeil and in Friuli Silvana Schiavi Fachin. The books have been published thank to funding of ARLeF.

You can download the books in PDF format by clicking on the images on the left!
